Normally, the two sports are not spoken about in the same sentence, never mind played on the same pitch in the same afternoon, against each other! However, the two codes came together for a great cause on Sunday 13th September at Gloucester. The first half of the game was played under Rugby League rules with the second half swapping to Union.
Keith Senior, Wayne Godwin and Mike Tindal was just a few of the stars that took the field.
Northern was very proud to sponsor the front and back of the Rugby League teams shirt. The kit was inspired by Rob Burrow and his clubs’ colours, Leeds Rhinos.
The rugby union side took the win in a 39-19 battle, but there was no losers on this special day.
We really hope this event happens again and we can be apart of it!
